The condo unit is located within the luxurious Shores at Waikoloa Beach Resort, on the Big Island of Hawaii. It is 25-minute drive north of Kona airport. The resort offers stunning views and easy access to beautiful beaches, shoreline hiking trails, world-class golf courses, and upscale shopping and dining. The property features tropical landscaping, with a serene and relaxing atmosphere. On site amenities include swimming pool, spa, fitness center, tennis courts, and barbecue. Free parking.

Good to know

The property has one king bed and a full bathroom inside the master bedroom suite. Please note that the bathroom has only shower stall and it does NOT have bathtub. A sofa bed at the living can be used as a double bed. It has a full open kitchen connecting to the dining area and the living room. The half bath is next to the living room area. The patio has stunning view of the mountain and the garden. The closest beach is Anaehoomalu Bay (A-Bay) and it is less than 1-miles away from the condo. It is known for its picturesque palm-fringed shoreline and calm waters, making it great for swimming, snorkeling, and paddle boarding. Hapuna Beach State Park is just a 15-min short drive north from Waikoloa, Hapuna Beach is consistently ranked among the best beaches in the world. Its long stretch of white sand and clear turquoise water is perfect for sunbathing, bodyboarding, and swimming. It is perfect for a family of 2-4 to enjoy their Big Island vacation!

The condo was in a beautiful complex right next to the Hilton Waikoloa, great area. It was clean and comfortable. The sofa bed was super comfortable and had all the extra linens. It was nice being able to cook and the kitchen had everything you needed. It was close to shops and the best restaurants, especially Lava Lava. The pool kept the kids entertained daily and was super clean. We appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella. The kids loved the sand toys. We loved our stay! Would definitely stay again!

What a fantastic stay. Lovely property, awaken to the sound of tropical birds. Great views, Mauna Kea from your balcony. Very, very quiet location, and peaceful. Excellent walking location, and nice golf course steps away. Kings/Queens shops close by, everything you need. Host very responsive. A true Big Island/Waikoloa experience.

The place was really a great value. It was in a perfect location to lots of beaches, shopping and restaurants. The host made lots of local recommendations. They had everything you needed to go to the beach with ease such as beach chairs, Beach umbrella, beach toys, beach towels, and a small cooler. The condo itself was a bit dated, but did not impact our experience. The outdoor patio was very spacious and enjoyable for sunrise and sunsets. Personal favorite was the ceiling fans in the bedroom and the living room and the AC kept the condo very comfortable. We didn’t get to enjoy the pool or hot tub, but it looked very nice. If you’re looking for a home away from home on your Hawaii vacation to the big island, this is the condo to book! Thank you Kuok!

Check in was easy, and having a designated parking spot was helpful. The apartment was wonderful and clean with all necessary amenities including washer and dryer. It was a short drive to the grocery store which was convenient. Also, it was a brief walk to the beach which was the perfect location to watch the sunset. I would definitely stay here again!

If this is your first time on the Big Island or if you want conveniences, this is the location. Nested in the Waikaloa Resort north of the Kona Airport, everything is at your fingertips: Restaurants, beaches, shops, golf, pool, hot tub, etc. The place was comfy and well furnished to whatever level of stay; whether staying on the property full time, or using as a home base and venturing out over the island, which is what we did. We ended our trip on the big island at Mikes place and enjoyed it very much! The space had great light, kitchen was fully equipped, beach gear ready (2 chairs, umbrella and cooler) and very clean. We loved breakfast on the balcony and the gym/ pool. The queens marketplace is located within the resort compound and has restaurants, coffee shops and a grocery store less than a 3 min drive or leisurely 20 min walk away. We would definitely come back!

A charming, late 80s feeling condo in the perfect location. The place was extremely clean and a cute lookout over the vegetation, pond, and lava fields. Two bathrooms is always nice, as is a porch to relax on. Would book again!

The Shores complex is quiet and well maintained, and the swimming pool is great. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to A-beach, and about the same to walk to shops including the grocery store in the Queens Marketplace. Mike's apartment is super clean, comfortable, and well appointed. One thing: there is no salt, pepper, oil or coffee because of "liability issues," which I don't understand, but just be aware that if you plan to cook, get those things on your way in. There's a Foodland in the Mauna Lani resort about 2 miles away with great poke. Mike was a good host, responsive. and answered questions promptly.

Comfortable and spacious for our family of 4. We all loved our stay. Pool was beautiful. Airbnb has large balcony and it was great to have meals outside. We jogged to "A beach" and walked to the coffee shop at the shops down the hill. The best part of the unit was the comfort, open floor plan, and kids loved the big TV. No olive oil, salt, pepper, etc., so plan accordingly. Two beach chairs, but no boogie boards. We bought a boogie board at Costco. Great time!

We had a great stay! We had a couple of questions and Mike was very responses. His place was very spacious for a 1 bedroom and had a large wrap around lanai. I only wish there were a couple of lounge chairs on the lanai. I would have spent more time out there if there were. The complex is really nice. Its walkable and has plenty of visitor parking for family that stopped by. We would definitely stay again. Mahalo Mike!
